AVELLAN

Privacy notice

Privacy

AVELLAN collects as little as possible. The only personal data gathered on this site is what you give us when you join the journal.

What we collect

  • Your email address.
  • The signup source (which page or form the request came from).
  • The consent wording shown to you at the time of signing up.
  • The date and time you joined, and, if applicable, unsubscribed.

Nothing else. No names, no addresses, no payment details, no cookies, no analytics or tracking scripts.

Why we hold it

To send occasional emails from AVELLAN about the workshop — materials, prototypes, discoveries and first notice when our earliest pieces become available.

Lawful basis

Consent. You provide it by entering your address and submitting the journal form, having been shown the consent wording beside it. You may withdraw it at any time.

Storage and security

Subscriber records are held in a private, access-controlled database. The list is not publicly readable: it can only be written to through the signup form and read by AVELLAN. Data is stored on managed infrastructure within the EU/UK region of our hosting provider.

Retention

We keep your record while the journal exists, or until you ask us to delete it. If you unsubscribe, we keep the record with an unsubscribed date so that you are not contacted again in error; ask us and we will erase it entirely.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade your data. If AVELLAN later moves the list to an email delivery platform, that provider will process addresses only on our instruction, and this notice will be updated before it happens.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you may request access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

How to ask

To unsubscribe immediately, use the unsubscribe page. For access, correction or full deletion, write to privacy@avellan.co.uk.
